PreRapture(tm) Network Rules
1. No profanity, obscenity, indecency, lewdness.
2. No handles, aliases, etc. Participants must use their real names
and it is the individual SysOp's responsibility to verify users.
3. The membership of the network exists at the discretion of
PreRapture Ministry. (It is not the policy of the PRIME network
to practice the censorship of ideas or opinions.)
4. In case of problems and problem users SysOps agree to abide by
the decision of PreRapture Ministry (in issues concerning the network).
5. We expect USA SysOps to relay at least once daily (barring hardware
problems, financial difficulty, etc). If this causes difficulty
just let us know and we'll be flexible. We want daily relays, but we
also would not want to loose anyone over this issue.
6. SysOps agree to co-operate with hosts to keep conferences "on topic".
7. SysOps agree to carry the PRERAPTURE_NEWIDE Conference as public
conference, and the NET_ADMINISTRATION conference as a private conference.
8. SysOps agree to prevent any illegal usage of the PreRapture(tm)
Network. HUBs agree to monitor network file transfers to uphold the
network standards.
9. SysOps agree to advise their users that all messages sent through
PreRapture(tm) Network are to be considered PUBLIC messages according
to all legal definition. However SysOps should never knowingly make
private messages public.
10. SysOps agree to display the 'PreRapture(tm) Network' logo in their
tagline (through the use of the supplied 'id' file). (PCRelay SysOps)
11. SysOps agree to never use the PreRapture(tm) Network to transfer,
advertise, or in any way promote so called "adult" materials, meaning
lewd, sexually explicit, etc. materials. This includes BBS ads that
mention "adult" areas. HUB operators agree to maintain these standards
at the HUB level.
12. SysOps agree to try to keep BBS ads in the BBS ads area only.
13. SysOps agree to never censor (delete) any message for any reason
other than profanity, lewdness, etc. AND to send a copy of any such
message to me Steve Winter ->RAPTURE (routed and Private) in the Net
Administration, or netmail to 98:98/1. Also it would be good to post
a public message in the area where the message was deleted stating the
reason.
14. No ANSI codes in messages except in designated ANSI Art areas.
15. All node SysOps are required to keep me up to date as to their
address and voice phone. All HUB SysOps are required to keep me
up to date as far as any additional nodes, etc.
16. Conference hosts have 'SysOp' authority over their conference.
Their decisions will have the full backing of network managment
(concerning *their* conference), of course network guidlines would
still apply.
17. These rules ONLY apply to the PreRapture(tm) Network and that that
"pertaineth" to the PreRapture(tm) Network. What any SysOp does on his
own BBS or on any other network that does not affect the PreRapture(tm)
Network does not affect the PreRapture(tm) Network.
18. SysOps agree to provide access to all public PRIME conferences that
they are receiving to all of their regular BBS membership.
19. SysOps agree to put all of the public conferences that they
are receiving on their public conference menu for all regular users.
20. SysOps agree NOT to use the "insulate.net", "KILLERDOG", or any
other censoring program or file except at such a time that it would be
deemed necessary by network managment, and in such a situation a public
net-wide announcement would be made.
21. Any BBS that has a religious theme or carries other religious
conferences agrees to carry at least 3 of the PreRapture(tm) Network
Religious Conferences to be available to all regular users.
22. Any SysOp that leaves the network because of a disagreement or
rule violation may not be allowed to re-access the network as a user.
(This rule is to prevent a SysOp who is unable to prevail in a debate,
from quitting the network to hide the debate from his users; and then
coming back on the network as a user to disrupt the network or to
continue to use the network to further his views. In other words,
wanting all the network users to see his views and opinions, but not
wanting his users to see views and opinions expressed by others on
the network.)
23. All SysOps agree to immediately remove the access of any user to
all PRIME Network conferences upon notification from network
administration that that user has been barred from the network.
24. Network administration reserves the right to bar any user that has
been determined to be engaged in purposely excessively disruptive,
distructive behaviour in any conference. It is one thing to contend for
a viewpoint or to disagree or even argue in a conference, it is quite
another to purposely disrupt a conference. Examples of such behaviour
include bombing of the network (copies of identical posts in several
conferences), profanity with a few letters blocked, excessive flaming
and re-quoting (in obvious attempt to "flood" the network, make normal
conversation difficult, and raise phone bills), posting of volumes of
third party "tracts" (not authored by the one posting).
25. English is the official language of the network and "encoded" or
"encrypted" messages are not allowed.
